The paintings of NR Arton
I’m lucky enough to be married to the painter NR Arton, who has just launched her new website.
We met at Harrow school of art when we ran the film society there together (the first movie we screened was Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which was banned at the time, so romantic). Right from the start I was in love with her paintings – big canvases with wild characters eating and dancing and drinking. We’ve been together for fourteen years, and I’m still as excited as ever to see her new work, which she keeps hidden from me until it is ready. Right now, she’s working on a new collection of portraits inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Go check them out – they are dark and delicious.
