I was thrilled that Best British Short Stories editor Nicholas Royle chose my story The Stormchasers from The Stone Thrower for the 2013 anthology. In this story, a father and son go out during a storm to look for tornados, while the real storm is brewing at home.
(An aside: I get more questions about this story than any other I’ve written – I guess because the ending is open, which frustrates some people, while exciting others. I wrote about it in my blog post: How do you like your story endings, open or closed?
